Introduction:

Welcome to my Rpg website, basically I am building this page as a place for information on upcoming RPGs as well as current ones. Rpg rumors will also play a large role in my website, like for instance, can you really get the Triforce in Zelda: Ocarina of Time? The correct answer, of course, is no. 

I'm in the process of converting this place into a RPG maker 95/00/03 and my "Sands of Time" game page, but I will probably keep some of the stuff I began to make here...

Saturday, June 28 (2003):

Again with another SoT update.. now you can fix 1.5's missing files issues with a small patch or you can download the full demo version 1.6, which includes a few new features, the missing files, and minor bug fixes that aren't found in 1.5b (the patch's name) or any earlier version of the game.

Thursday, June 26 (2003):

Doesn't this mean I have no life? I'm busy updating my web page at 2:31 AM, and I've been sitting on my ass at the computer since about 8:30 PM. Yep, today I spent a school day's worth of time just on my computer, though that's not really that unusual for me! 
Okay, convenient excuse of the day as to why I have no life:

Um.. my girlfriend is out of town and I'm not in the mood to hang out with anyone because I miss her...

A decent excuse.. actually in all seriousness she is out of town, for 3 days, but the reason I'm sitting on my ass is because sitting and working on a website while chugging down a couple cans of pop sounds more appealing than hanging out with most of my friends! LOL...

Anyway, I have just put up Demo Version 1.5 of SoT on my website... and I'm thinking about once I get finished months upon months from now.. I might resurrect my old Rm2k, yep you guessed it, Statues and Servants.. well for those old Rymir's RPG Sanctuary fans who still come here even though I'm dissembling there beloved little site and turning it into something else... while I was working on this site the one Rm2k thing I did have up was Statues and Servants, and I got over 211 downloads on it, it was group RPG based up one of my original storylines.. though I've talked to my staff of three, besides me, if I do resurrect S&S (Statues and Servants) it will no longer be a group-designed RPG, they released all rights to S&S to me...

Back to the point: Version 1.5 of the SoT demo was a MAJOR bug fix... version 1.0 was unbearably buggy but that's (hopefully) all history now that 1.5 is out! I've added a CMS (custom menu system) though it's still in its early development stages...

One last thing... and the final blow to my old, faithful Rymir's RPG Sanctuary fans (at the peak of this site I had 203 registered fans, not just guests, but the actually registered people), I'm thinking about redoing the banner, replacing Mario, Zelda, and Chocobbo with RTP Characters from Rm2k, then I'll rename this place to Rymir's Rm2k Sanctuary... Are you wondering if I had so many fans why didn't I just make two sites and keep this one running? Well I could have, but I was VERY bored of this site... I mean its much more fun working with Rm2k game making and putting up stuff for game designers to download... as far as the old Rymir's RPG Sanctuary goes, before I took everything off I moved it onto a backup up disc and have ALL of the site... plus with hundreds upon hundreds of megabits of files all hosted on different free web-servers throughout the net... this go a little disorganized.  

Here comes the final announcement... take a breath Rymir... I built this site a while back for discussion on all RPGs, now, I'm handing over all my content to one of my old Rymir's RPG Sanctuary fans, Vegetarian_delight! VD has been very helpful at finding stuff for the site and has been a loyal member since about the day after this site came to the net. So the new successor to my page will be called: Veggie's RPG Archive. No, I'm keeping the layout to the site... he gets it on the disc I sent him, of course, but he already showed me his planned layout, he isn't using mine.. which is good since I'm keeping the layout for this site. Also, Veggie's RPG Archive is going to be an affiliate of mine, and I have 35% of his site, and for now I have 97% ownership of his site's content, since only about 3% of the site's content is made originally by him and not just my old stuff.

Demon_poodle IS still making the Diablo site, and she and Veggie are merging, she is a branch of his site and mine at the same time... So Veggie's RPG Archive isn't going to have Diablo stuff. Demon_poodle has changed her site's name to Demon_poodle's Diablo Alter, instead of Sanctuary.

Monday, June 23 (2003):

Today I put up the section for the Sands of Time and took down the "Pen and Paper RPG", since the amount of people who went to that part of the page were lacking... (According to my Server less than 100 people visited that section since I put it up a few months back...

I've been working hard on developing "Sands of Time", an RPG made using the environment Rm2K! I'm currently debating between Rm2k or converting the project over to Rm2k3. 

Reasons to move to Rm2k3:

- Better side-view battle system
- customizable menus
- wider scale of features!

Reasons to stay with Rm2k:

- conversion process is lengthy and annoying
- more people have Rm2k RTP then Rm2k3 RTP

- Side-view battle system and menu systems can
  be made in Rm2k with some coding but it will 
  work about the same as the ones in Rm2k3.

REGULAR RPG SANCTUARY INFORMATION:

I'm working out a deal with one of our site regulars, Demon_poodle, since she is interested in putting up a Diablo Series website. I have over 100mb in Diablo II related downloads that I didn't have room to put up on this site, and I have the bit of Diablo information on this site, all of it is going towards the site she is currently designing. She has model version of what the site would look like and how much content it would have, and so far it looks impressive. Demon_poodle will be calling the site Demon_poodle's Diablo Sanctuary and she has graciously rewarded me for the Diablo related stuff I gave her. How did she reward me? (No, unfortunately she didn't do that...!) She has decided to advertise her site as a branch to The RPG Sanctuary, so despite the fact that I'm kinda just letting this place control itself, and only updating the main page and the SoT section, it looks like RPG Sanctuary might continue on. 

(I'm not going to let much out yet, but there is a possibility that someone else will be taking over the updating and designing of this site, and I'll just be left with what I have time for: the SoT page and this homepage!)

Sunday, June 22 (2003):

Due to my own busy schedule I'm afraid I'm not really working on making this a super RPG collection site at the moment... however, I am hosting my newest RPG maker 2000 game called Sands of Time here! You need to have the RTP for RPG maker 2000 in order to play this, eventually I will make a link to a download site for the RTP here.

I think I might convert this into the Sands of Time homepage when I get the moment, but I'll leave a small section of the site open for the original RPG Sanctuary content...
